Our Story
A Rich Heritage
The Jaguar Drivers Club of Christchurch was founded in 1958 by a small group of passionate Jaguar owners who wanted to share their love for these magnificent British automobiles.
What started as informal gatherings has grown into one of Canterbury's most respected car clubs, with members owning everything from rare classics like the XK120 and E-Type to modern performance cars like the F-Type and F-Pace.
Our club is part of a worldwide network of Jaguar enthusiast groups, and we maintain close ties with clubs throughout New Zealand and Australia.
Today, we continue the tradition of celebrating Jaguar's unique blend of performance, luxury, and British elegance. Whether you're a collector of vintage Jaguars or drive the latest model off the showroom floor, you'll find a warm welcome here.

Club Founded
A group of passionate Jaguar owners in Christchurch gather to form the Jaguar Drivers Club — celebrating the finest British motoring.
First Concours Events
The club establishes its tradition of competitive and show events, with the first formal concours d'élégance drawing admiring crowds.
Growing Membership
Membership expands significantly as the Jaguar marque gains its iconic status. Regular club runs through Canterbury become a fixture of the social calendar.
National Connections
The club strengthens ties with Jaguar clubs throughout New Zealand and Australia, participating in national events and inter-club rallies.
Into the Digital Age
The club launches its first website, making it easier than ever to share news, events, and technical knowledge with members.
New Constitution
At the AGM on 22 September, members vote to re-register the club under the Incorporated Societies Act 2022, securing its future on a modern legal footing.
World Record Attempt
The club joins forces with the Kynaston Charitable Trust at Risingholme Park for a world record attempt — the largest gathering of Jaguar Mark VII to IX cars ever assembled.
